Remember, originality requires a unique idea that appeals to YOU. Identify your musical influences and what you like about them. I keep an open pallet of various genres from producers and artist I like to come up with ideas and styles. To widen your reach, you want to be versatile.

When producing music, it's important to stay true to your musical influence. By doing this, you'll be able to create original beats that appeal to a wider audience. In this blog post, we'll discuss how to identify your musical influences and what you can do to stay versatile while producing music.

So, how can you identify your musical influences? If you're like most people, you probably have a few artists or producers that you really look up to. Some of my musical influences include J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar

, and Anderson .Paak. I love their unique sounds and the way they tell stories through their music.

In this blog post, I will explore how to separate your inspiration from sounding like a complete rip-off when producing music.

When it comes to drawing inspiration from your favorite producers, it’s important to remember that they didn’t get where they are by copying someone else. They found their own sound by taking bits and pieces from different sources and making it their own. So how can you do the same? Here are a few tips:

1) Take Your Time

The Pyramids weren’t built in a day, and neither is a great track. If you try to rush the process, you’ll end up with something that sounds forced. Instead, take your time and let the track evolve naturally.

2) Find Your Niche

What is it that makes your favorite producers stand out from the rest? Is it their use of unusual samples? Or maybe it’s the way they tweak their kick drums. Once you figure out what it is that makes them unique, you can start incorporating those elements into your own productions.

3) Don’t Be Afraid to Experiment

The best way to find your sound is to experiment with different techniques and sounds. Try out new things and see what works for you. And if something doesn’t work, don’t be afraid to scrap it and start over. The key is to keep an open mind and be willing to try new things.

Taking inspiration from your favorite producers is a great way to get started in music production. But it’s important to remember that they found their sound by being original, not by copying someone else. So take your time, experiment, and find your own niche. With these tips, you’ll be well on your way to becoming a great producer in no time!
